Mission / Vision

Our mission is to provide a solid technical foundation for the developing dancer while instilling a great love of dance.  We hope to inspire self-confidence and create a  respect for the disciplines of the performing arts.  We advocate the study of Classical Ballet as the foundation to introduce an awareness of poise, alignment and technique for all styles of dance.

We appreciate that the heart of a dancer is born into many different bodies and the love of dance can take on many different styles.  We will develop well prepared dancers, should they so choose to pursue the arts professionally or are college bound.  Wherever dance takes them, it is clear that the discipline, focus and artistic enlightenment of dance will create success in other aspects of a dancer’s life.

We will urge each student to strive daily for improvement, as well as to support one another in fostering a sense of teamwork in the classroom.  As said best by Mikhail Baryshnikov:  “I do not try to dance better than anyone else. I only try to dance better than myself.”

Our fantastic team of instructors have the experience and education to be innovative, inspiring and are dedicated to providing responsible, careful, thorough instruction for all levels and ages.

Our goal is to give each individual dancer the tools they need to take dance as far as they dream to take it.  We believe, if you can dream it, you can achieve it!

Our instructors are skilled at identifying the specific needs of each student.  We believe in an enriching education; and we recognize that every student has something to offer the arts, and the arts has something to offer every student.

The level of focus and commitment we demand from our students increases with the dancer’s age.  We realize a career in dance may not be the goal of all students, however we are committed to providing solid professional training to every student giving them the opportunity.  Consequently, we require an increasing number of weekly classes as students progress to the upper levels.  This is the only way to maintain the fundamental principles of technique and develop the elements needed for more advanced work.
